San Miguel Marina to host deep sea fishing tournament

For the fifth consecutive year, the San Miguel Marina in Tenerife is hosting the fifth Torneo Bertram Marina San Miguel deep sea fishing tournament.

The news consolidates the success of the event which is the only qualifying event in Spain for the world final in Quepos, Costa Rica. This will be held in April 2016.

The tournament will take place from July 9th to July 11 in the pretty marina, the only one in Tenerife capable of hosting an event of this nature thanks to its strategic location and extensive facilities to accommodate ships from other islands.

Organisers are encourag-ing entrants as well as spectators, saying: “Undoubtedly, the V Tournament Bertram Marina San Miguel is a great opportunity to bring together people from around the archipelago, both fisher-men and families to enjoy life in contact with the sea, and a very special weekend practising an exciting sport. It requires knowledge, strategy, teamwork, physical ability, patience and some luck!”
