Taboo's Nightclub Golf del Sur
Party like it's 2015 at the Golf del Sur's premium nightclub Taboo's. This contemporary and cool club is the venue to let your hair down, enjoy a few drinks and large it up late into the night. Holidaymakers and locals (always a good sign) grace the bar of this Golf del Sur nightclub and the music is a mixture of house, funk, disco and everything else in between.
This place works on all levels appealing to the young or young at heart but make no mistake this a proper night club not a run-of-the-mill disco bar so you need to be prepared... please carefully follow the instructions below to get the most out of it
Have a stroll along the spectacular Golf del Sur seafront in the morning after your brekkie then follow it up with an afternoon round the pool chillaxing. Around 4pm, mosey on back to your apartment and have a siesta. As the sun sinks below the 'yard arm' have a 'pamper' then get your glad rags on.
Wander down the street around 11pm - or in the case of 'Taboo's Goes Italian' next door - enter through the neon lit double doors of the club... you should now be well and truly in the mood.
The 'man' Kenny makes a mean cocktail so order your poison, take a perch on a stool at the bar or in the 'comfy sofas area' and start tapping your feet to DJ Jason as he kicks off the party... humming and singing to yourself is allowed. O'Neill's Playa de las Americas
When it comes to fun-time party venues in downtown Las Americas, they don't come much livelier than O'Neill's in Veronicas!
Inside you'll find a DJ banging out the latest beats on an air-conditioned dance floor. All around, the party atmosphere never stops with outrageous shot girls doing the rounds and 'injecting' a little mayhem into the proceedings, gyrating dancers raising the heat in 'the cage' and wrapped around the dance poles and fun bar staff never short of a little banter.

Tipsy Terrace Bar and Bistro Los Gigantes
Not only is Tipsy Terrace one of the best restaurants in Los Gigantes, its also one of the best show bars, best tennis centres and best all-round fun venue for families.
Owners, Sally and Sarah, have brought a great deal of professionalism to Tipsy Terrace, stamping their own panache and style into the decor, ambience and menu. Visitors can't praise enough the food, staff and organisation, making it by far one of the best bars in Los Gigantes, featuring some extremely classy acts.
The restaurant is open from morning till night (except Tuesday and Saturday evening), serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, with garden terrace seating and indoor tables. The menu features light bites, children's choices and daily specials. We personally recommend the Thai fish cakes starter and roast rack of lamb, though the fish pie ain't half bad too. And as for the desserts... we're talking dangerously delicious, like the home-made Bread and Butter pudding.
In addition to the bar and restaurant, Tipsy Terrace also features free Wi-Fi for all customers, a heated swimming pool with on-duty lifeguard, 16-hole crazy golf course and three tennis courts. The courts can be hired for 10 euros per hour, raquets are available for free if you hire a court. There's also a professional tennis coach at hand if you need to brush up your backhand. If you fancy a game, put your name down behind the bar and the staff will do their best to find you a playing partner.
The bar holds many events - both private and public - from Halloween nights to Easter Egg hunts.

Dreamers Cabaret Bar Los Cristianos
The legendary Dreamers Cabaret Bar is one of the longest established British Bars in Los Cristianos and for good reason. Still owned by Roy Crewdson, guitarist from the 60's band Freddie and The Dreamers, the next generation continue to make it the place to go for a pint (or a mixer!), nightly entertainment, all the sport, good company and most important of all 'a laff'!
The large open terrace is ideal during the day for a refreshing drink, a chat and a spot of people watching. As the night falls, the terrace offers a gentle breeze from the sea as a welcome haven after a day round the pool or on the beach.
In the spirit of 'why fix it if it's not broke', nightly cabaret and karaoke add to the lively atmosphere and with food served throughout the day, your best laid plans of a 'quick one in Dreamers before moving on' will usually end up in 'ruins' as you stay on for one more and before you know it 'the fat lady is singing'!
Our friends from Sky Sports provide the entertainment on the flat-screen TVs around the bar. All the major sports are here. The 'big matches' are linked to the sound system... feels like you're there especially when you go outside on the terrace for the half-time debate.
In holiday speak, this bar is 'within easy walking distance' of pretty much anywhere in Los Cristianos. So whether you want to eat, drink and be merry or you just want to amble along there after your meal The Dreamers Cabaret Bar ticks all the boxes.

Volare Show Bar Golf del Sur
Remarkably there are not many dedicated 'cabaret bars' in Tenerife so the Volares on the Golf Del Sur is a welcome exception... and very good it is too!
Open at 9.00pm every night, the action starts at 9.30pm with the resident compere - Ronnie - followed by the main act at 11.00pm and then on until the early hours but heh(!) you are on holiday. In between all this there is some 'serious bopping' to be done and the occasional karaoke for the bravehearted, which after partaking in something from the extensive cocktail menu we can assure you the place is full of 'courageous' people!
A laugh with a touch of sophistication for the more 'mature' party animals.

The Mett Bar las Americas
Listen up guys and girls, don't accept second best, glam it up and party down at the Mett Bar
Chart, party and R & B music is the order of the day here complete with a state of the art lighting rig, 8 giant plasma screens and a team of DJ's that demand and get 'smiley faces' everynight.
Of course full on partying requires stamina and to keep going we recommend you take a break now and again and chillax with a cocktail (or two!) on the sizable terrace.
For you hen and stag parties, we know your visit to the island is often short, sharp and 'full-on' so don't waste time 'exploring', The Mett Bar is made for you!

St Eugenes Bar San Eugenio
Is it the Compere that makes the bar or the bar that makes the Compere?
St Eugenes is packed full of entertainment the minute you walk through the doors.
With the resident compere Ray Wilde who entertains whole heartedly and only communicates with the class acts of the south of the Island.
Highly recommended for families as the facilites cater for all ages including pool tables, darts and gaming machines).
The young team of staff are certainly on the ball and don't let the side down on the service that they provide.
Bars come and go with alarming frequency on Tenerife, St Eugenes was established over 25 years ago... says it all!

Leonardo's las Americas
Major travel companies are not in the habit of recommending bars but with the entertainment and set up at Leonardo's in Las Americas they made an exception... go there and you'll see why!
Contemporary furnished inside with a large terrace area outside this is an ideal place for an afternoon drink or a warm evening of top class entertainment ranging from bands to soloists.
For you sports fans, pretty much every sporting event - including the all important Premiership(!) - is shown on a plethora of screens guaranteeing you an uninterrupted view.
Add an ice-cold beer, a well stocked bar for cocktails and the story is complete!

Rum Pot San Eugenio
Established over 25 years ago and still going strong you are gauranteed a 'rum do' at the Rum Pot!
'Embarrasingly good' drinks prices, snack food such as burgers and chips that put the 'The Clown' place to shame, top acts from the Tenerife entertainment circuit and of course a very warm welcome every time you go. Without doubt the highlight of the week is the Billy Porter show but with Paul the resident compere (and owner) keeping the fun going, the regulars will tell you that every night is party time.
In case you are wondering where the name comes from, it is American slang for a person who likes to 'imbibe' on a rather grand scale... all good fun!

The Dubliner las Americas
It can be said, with very little exaggeration, you would be hard pressed to find a visitor to Tenerife who hasn't at one time or another had a night out in The Dubliner. In fact, several nights out!
So popular is this place for the 'craic', whether you're Irish or not, that it has expanded over they years to become part of the Gaelic Corner, your very own piece of Ireland in the sun. Of course it serves guinness but there is so much more to enjoy.
With live bands and first rate crooners, you and your friends will be surrounded by party animals like yourselves with only one thing in mind, let the good tmes roll... enough said!

The Terrace Bar Amarilo Golf
Unsurprisingly the best bars and restaurants in Tenerife are those who offer value for money, go all out to keep everybody entertained (including children) and don't mind taking a few risks to keep a loyal following interested.
Andy, owner of The Terrace Bar, Amarilla Golf, manages to achieve all that and stands as a shining example of a Tenerife businessman who is prepared to put a lot of work in, to get the most out his business. His success is evident in the number of people who travel from all over the south of Tenerife to frequent this popular watering hole.
The Terrace Bar is complemented by The Palm's Bistro, a dining venue with a great atmosphere serving delectable dishes made from fresh ingredients. Let the hospitable staff take care of you while you take in the views. The hardest thing you'll have to do is decide what to eat! Ok, simple pub quiz. What's the most well-known bar in Playa de las Americas? Answer: Linekers. Famed for its celebrity association with crisp-munching ex-footballer Gary.
Lineker's is without doubt the first bar you think of when wanting a good, loud, fun and football-showing watering hole in Tenerife. Even when there are no games being shown on the zillions of screens, the place is always jumping with zany DJ's, plenty of games and an equal balance of good-looking chicas and chicos. There are also some not-so-good-looking ones, but we'll pass right on by that fact.
If you're on a brain-bending night out in Playa de las Americas, Linkers should definitely be on the agenda, even just for a quick drop-in to say you've been. The bar staff are quick, witty and pleasingly generous with their dispensing of shots - usually a quick way to find the land of oblivion if you're that way inclined.

Shenanigans Entertainment Bar Las Americas
If you find a winning formula stick with it as the saying goes and that's exactly what Shenanigans Entertainment Bar in Las Americas has done.
The winning formula in question consists of a late night initmate setting, great bar and service plus a cherry on the top the legendary 'Loony Tunes'. On everynight with a guest artist, these lads have repertoire of songs to suit all and they don't shirk from the 'twiddly bits' that sets a song apart. Quite amazing what they produce with a lead guitar, a couple of mics and a keyboard... oh and years of practice!
We are confident that a survey on any night would show very few people on theirfirst visit; be an exception and get in there.

The Courtyard Cabaret & Sports Bar Las Americas
We know that some of you like to keep abreast of the sporting world when on holiday in Tenerife, especially during a major football tournament, rugby match, golf open or whatever else...

Faro Chill Art Nightclub Puerto Colon
Without any shadow of a doubt Faro Chill Art is one of Tenerife's best nightclubs. Sensationally stylish, freakishly funky and featuring one of the best sound systems in the Canary Islands.
Upstairs you'll find the cocktail roof terrace, complete with mini lighthouse. Expect Balinese beds and cabanas, smack-in-the-face views over the ocean and coastline and chilled sounds under the stars.
If you have any sense, you'll head there at sundown, order the special frozen mojito, sink into a scatter cushion and watch the sinking sun turn the sky a glory of fiery red. Do that and you've experienced a Tenerife sunset in the best possible way.
Downstairs lies a funky dancefloor, multiple bars and a number of chillout terrace tables. If you're up for a colourful night, you'll not be disappointed, not just with the neon pinks and electric blues, but also with the local talent. This is THE place to see and be seen with 'the beautiful people', especially on the frequent party nights.

The Market Tavern Los Cristianos
There are very few bars in Tenerife where you can say they get it all right. The Market Tavern in Los Cristianos is one of those few. Attracting a loyal following of residents and holidaymakers, owner Joe provides pretty much all that you'd need in a Brit bar abroad.
The outrageous Billy Porter tops the bill. This top Scottish comedian/singer exhibits his unique brand of adult humour to a packed house from 10pm every Wednesday. Word of warning... to see Billy Porter in Tenerife, you'll need to get there early. Tables at The Market Tavern are bagged quickly in the evening when Billy Porter is in Los Cristianos. (Check out the video below for a taste of what to expect).
The best of Tenerife cabaret artists also appear throughout the week, though there's plenty of chance to shine yourself with over 25,000 songs to choose from at karaoke every night.
The Merry Monk Los Cristianos
Looking for a friendly, family-run watering hole with that 'Old English' country pub type feel? Well look no more. One visit to The Merry Monk in Los Cristianos and it'll feel like a familiar friend.
Established for over 19 years, James and the rest of the team have re-created a little bit of England but in the sun. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and incredibly welcoming, this Tenerife British bar is the regular haunt of many a visitor and resident.
The Merry Monk is open 7 days a week from 12 noon till 2am, providing a good time and a friendly meeting place for a chat, to catch some live sport or to take in the nightly entertainment.
Although the decor, drinks and comfort may feel familiar, there's at least one aspect of this friendly bar in Los Cristianos that will surprise. The Tenerife Entertainment Lounge is a mini-theatre, complete with stage, comfy terraced seating for 100 and table service drinks.

The Original Wigan Pier Toroviscas
We can honestly say that this place is unique in Tenerife, throughout the Canary Islands and indeed the whole of Spain!
A bold statement we know but after more than 20 years of building a successful business based on good food, cold beer, family atmosphere, live sport and nightly entertainment, the owners got rather tired of the pale imitations that began to spring up and registered the 'Wigan Pier' name as theirs throughout the land. Can there be a stronger indication of how they feel about their reputation?
